Sandra Oliver

Sande has been a Gates resident for over 30 years. She earned a B.A. from Denison University and an M.A. from the University of Wyoming both in History. Her background includes advertising, market research and political polling, and most recently, 20 years at Kodak/Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. Sande and her husband NIles have adopted a 4 mile portion of the of the Gates Erie Canal. Once a month, from April to November, they clean litter from the trail, cut grass and clear overgrown brush.

Candidate Statement

I am concerned about the high level of taxation endured by the citizens of Gates and the lack of open government and oversight at the county level. Solving these problems is not easy, but I believe when reasonable people come together they always succeed. They just need to be open to new paths and hidden opportunities. I would like to be part of that epiphany.
