GATES DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE

The recently revitalized Democratic Committee in Gates has established a website to promote greater communication within the community and facilitate participation by citizens. The new website was designed and produced by volunteer, Rayomand Ichhaporia, and includes sections on Officers, News, Activities, Candidates, and offers town residents the opportunity to get involved with the local organization. The website may be accessed at http://www.gatesdemocrats.org/.

Meanwhile, the movement for a full slate of candidates for the fall elections of 2005 is underway. Interested parties may contact the committee through the website or they may contact Maxine Reaves, Chairperson of the Candidate Search Committee, at 414-5078. The committee is seeking qualified Gates residents interested in serving on the Town Board, as Town Supervisor, or Town Justice. The Gates Democratic Committee meets monthly at the Hidden Valley Clubhouse, off of Pixley Road at 7:15 PM and all registered Democrats are welcome to attend.
